I'd lean towards the performance unless for some reason you need to stay stock (SCCA class).I have Hawk HPS and poweslot rotors and really noticed a significantimprovement. They work fine in the cold too.

I would definitely get the better brake set since the difference in cost is so minimal.

Tirerack pricing I paid for my B6 A4:
HPS front brakes (w/ sensor) $106
Powerslot front rotors $132 x 2 = $264
HPS rear brakes $58
Powerslot rear rotors (solid) $75 x 2 = $150
Total parts $578
Price sounds about right

Are you planning to do some autocrossing or SCCA? Cause correct me if I'm wrong but I'm under the opinion that cross-drilled aren't necessarily the best application for street use. #1 you're likely never to require the extra cooling capacity from cross-drilling, and #2 they tend to be more susceptable to warpage.

Don't get me wrong, they look sweet as hell but... Wouldn't just slotted rotorsbe suffificient (certainly cheaper)? Then you'd have more for some better calipers ; )
