Default Do I need new struts?

So I bought some H&R springs to lower my B7, I was told it would only lower about an inch, much to my delight it did much more than that. The back end is perfect, but the front isn't. My tires are so wide that it rubs into my fender when I go over bigger bumps, would new struts make the front end a little more stiff? What other options do I have, I have heard about possibly rolling the fender metal out a little, what do you all think?

That might help a little but lowering + wide tires = rubbing.

with all lowering kits everyone recommends new struts. bilstein sports are usually the most recomended. your best bet tho is to roll the fenders. i bet you could probably rent the fender rolling tool from an auto shop or somethin. theres a way to do it with a pvc pipe and a floor jack but i fender roller is much less risky if you screw it up

And remember, aside from rubbing tires and new struts, you need to buy adjustable UCAs and get aligned to get your front geometry back in specs, otherwise you'll be showing steel belts in no time.

Upper control arms. Factory equpiment doesn't have enough adjustment to bring the camber back within specs.
CPP UCAs

A cheaper alternative would be KMAC bushings which are basically an eccentric adjuster.
They are cheaper but dont have as much adjustment as the UCAs.
But it would be better than nothing.
