I just bought a 00 s4,when I lock the doors using the keys(remotes don't work) only the drivers door locks the others don't lock or unlock you can hear the doorlock pump in the door lock module thats in the trunk working but nothing happens.I removed the two vacumm hoses going to the pump to see if theres any pressure coming through but theres no air coming out. Is there any way to know for sure if the pump is the problem.

Never seen that problem, is there any faults in the central locking control module? Did you VAG it yet?

 

Figured out the problem I took the module out of my a4 and put it into my s4 and it works fine so I need to pick one up. Does anyone know where I could get one?

 

Dealer is the only place for modules like that.

ive had the same problem the door locking mechanism is in the trunk u have to make sure that the hoses are connected and stay on. then try to sync the door mechanism throught the driver door then press the button twice to see if the other doors work. my 2.8v6 had the same problem and that was all it was.

 

Okay, found my pump, turns out the little plastic eccentric inside is shot. Looks like I just need to break down and get a new one...thanks for the advice. There are some on ebay for about $150, should I chance a used one or just get a new one from the dealer?

 

got a new pump module from shokan, but now my remote doesn't work. i'm guessing the receiver is part of the unit...is there a way to reprogram either the remotes or the new module? if not i guess i have to dig into both modules and swap parts. has anyone else had this issue?
