Default downpipes install ?

Hi, I need pictures and or directions on how to put in new downpipes and cat back. My 00 bullet, itgoes to the shop on Monday for rs4 clutch/ lwfw and the ssautochrome d/p and cat back exhaust and I would like to give my mechanic some additional direction on how to put in the down pipes. It’s easier for him to look at directions from some one who has already done the work then to be unsure about something and tear **** apart. I think he has to go under the hood to remove a few bolts. He said he can get it done with no problems but any additional info could be helpful for time. I should just trust him, he’s not a turbo guy but he did great work on my 93 gmc typhoon a very stubborn motor to tune. Anyway any post would be great full

If he is pulling the trans, it will be very straight forward on the downpipes.

A manual, maybe with some skill.
An automatic, not a chance in hell.

did your mechaninc really ask you for a write up?? if that was me and my mechanic asked me for a write up on how to do downpipes then i honestly think he shouldnt be touching your S...i mean he knows how to do your clutch but not the downpipes?? thats kind of sketchy shizit...

even on a manual it will be a bitch of a time . either manual or auto in my opinion you should just drop the sub frame to make sure that you do it righ the first time..you do not want any leaks up their at all..the sub frame is really not that hard to drop if you have a lift and the proper tools..i replaced my seub frame when i first boyught my car and it took me 3 hours with the proper tools to replace everything...the downpipe job is with skill an 8 hr job without knowledge of the audi and the proper tools give it 10-12 hours..

good luck ..

Doing it on an automatic is significantly more difficult
