i droped all the parts off today for the job on monday, he said that hes going to take out the trans to do the clutch so if thats the case it should be easy to do te d/p like 2ks4 said. is there anything that needs to be checked serv or replace while the trans is out. do i realy need to wait 500 miles for brake-in to rip on the car?

Irecommend 200 to300 miles of mellow usage for street discs. The purpose of breaking in a clutch is to engage the disc in a controlled, consistent manner to ensure the disc, pressure plate and flywheel all make full surface contact.
