EBC and EFC? questions for b5 s4
Just curious has to a few questions for everyone...
What are your thoughts for electronic boost controler and eletronic fuel controler? not sure if thats what the fuel controler is called but oh well its 1 am...
Anyway, anyone running any of these? and prefrences? and mounting locations? and reasons why or why not to use them?

Get a chip from a reputable company. It costs about $6000.00 to replace your turbo's unless you do it your self which requires pulling the engine and replacing the turbo's and re-installing the engine.
If you just tweek the fuel and increase boost with an EBC I give your engine and turbo's 6 months to live.
If you are trying to save money it will be much cheaper to havea pro reprogram your ecu.
I have had good luck with INMOTION TUNING on my B5 1.8t and have heard good things about there S4 tuning which you can find on ebay for $175.00

You really can't do that with the S4's ECU. The car will constantly be put into limp mod. If you have a EBC, & the car is in limp mod, it will run lean, but oh, you cranked up the fuel, well now the cam timing & ign timing is all off, & the car is bucking & surging, & the DV's don't have a clue what they should do.
If you want a faster car, chip it, then work on a turbo back. That should net almost 350hp & 400 torque (crank readings).
Stay away from any offbrand chip/flash in the S4, it's a very smart & very complex ECU. AWE, ASP, APR, GIAC, & MTM are all the top rated ones.
