anyone paid for any of these repairs on a 2000 s4 tip

new torque converter
water pump and timing belt

 

Depends on the mechanic. Some only do the waterpump and timing belt instead of the tensioners, rollers, thermostat, belts.

Ive seen a range of $1000-$2100 for a timing belt job.

Ive heard the TC is a pricy one.

 

id say spend about 500 bucks...get a good tool set, then you can pretty much fix everything for only the cost of parts!

 

water pump will cost you a pretty penny just on labor costs
