I've got an appointment after work today to get an estimate for full exhaust. Quoted $2900 in parts. Would be $3100 plus shipping of stratmosphere, so i think im getting a good deal. Sorry for the pointless post, im just spreading my cheerful mood!

 

wow that seems high to me.. but im not an expert on b6 mods. is it custom from a shop... i believe ive seen others like milltek that a full back exhaust is like 2100-2200. but congrats..the exhaust on a b6 is just unreal

 

Ya, well the B6 has 2 downpipes and two pipes all the way back. I believe the B5'ers have one DP but i could be wrong

 

B5 S4's have two DPs. What are the gains on the DP's for a B6? personally I would stick with just the cat-back exhaust. I don't think the gains are there to justify the cost of the DP's... honestly I'd be doing the exhaust mainly for the sound.

 

the exhaust on the b6 would sound amazing. the v8 sounds beastly with an exhaust. search some on youtube for those of you who haven't heard it yet. but i'm curious as to know the dp upgrade gains on a b6 as well. whoever has done it, let us know

 

Gains are 30 WHP and 40 WTQ with the DP's and catback. And only 15/20 with the catback alone. I dont have to pay for anything but the labor hours so why not do the downpipes? haha. Anyway, i ordered the parts yesterday. the shop got me about $300 bucks off stratmosphere prices. Shop also had a project A4 3.0 SC'd and a project E46 M3 that looked equally impressive. My intall appointment is on the 21st, cuz im on vacation when the parts are coming in CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

**** yes they are. The stock system is soo restrictive. especially the stock cats vs. the high flow 200 cpi cats. I just hope i can feel the increased power, cuz i know the sound won't dissappoint . So now that i'm increasing the airflow out of the engine. Maybe its time for something on the intake side? I think i might have the modding bug? Ive been on the net all day at work looking at various sites, milltek, stratmosphere, tirerack, HRE, etc. I fear soon i will be broke. But broke in a badass S4!!!!! which is the best kinda broke

 

Well the parts are in route via UPS and my install App. is on wed. morning. ill do my best to get a sound clip/vid up by the end of the week
