Hey there, I'm new, and I've read all the stuff about exhausts...I'm still confused at this decision. I'll be ordering a 2008 S4 in a few days. I love the sound of the V8, but I can't really hear it while driving the car. I would like to hear it a little bit better, but not have a steady drone for those 5 hour drives to Mammoth. I've seen posts about LaBree, Milltek, Fast Intentions, Borla, and Neuspeed. I've watched youtube vide after video. The problem is that one clip will have the exhaust sounding loud, and another clip of the same car/exhaust will sound not as loud. I don't think these videos can really show what the exhaust is really about.

My situation calls for something that's audible to me, but not the whole world. I'm not really looking for performance boost, I just want to hear that beautiful V8 burple. I don't want the area around me to know I'm hauling ***...just like to have something that's a smidge louder than stock for myself to hear. Let's have it...

 

you also never know how much work has been done to the motor to make it sound louder than it would on a stock s4

 

Run Electric dumps like me hahaah get the turn dial noise for when u want it and when the cop pulls you over u close them and tell him it has factory exhaust and tips on it. HAHA!

 

If you're looking for a nice sounding exhaust that's not loud while on road trips I'd look into a Resonated Milltek exhaust.
