Best performing wheel & tire combo size for A6 4.2L. I wanna go bigger but I dont ant to compromise performance what so ever, becauseI drive 130mph any chance I get. Please be brutally honest cause i'm will to invest $5-$6k on wheels and suspension alone. Thanks

 

i think everyone kinda agree's that they wouldnt go any bigger then 18's and if your really performance bound would go more then 17's. From what i have gathered and read 17/18 are the comfortable size to retain ride quality and performance.

 

I have 18s on my 4.2. No regrets.

 

Go strong and light. 17"s will give you the performance edge due to lighter weight.
