The dealer I bought it from said it did not need to be replaced yet. Currently has 71k on it. When do they usually replace the TB. I have heard conflcting stories on this.
I do have 2 years left on the warranty that does cover the TB and Turbos! So I will get it replaced within two years, regardless if the dealer thinks it needs it or not.

Still have not got the CEL checked out either. Where is a good place to buy a Vag-Com?

Just get the CEL checked for codes at nearby Autozone.
You can buy VAGCom later.

Thanks for the Advice. Just ran down to Autozone and had them check the CEL. I believe this is the code that I was given: P0113

"The PCM has determined that the input from the intake air temperature sensor is higher than expected for the current engine operating conditions." P0113

What does this mean?

Have them (Autozone) clear the codes, if havent done that already.
If it comes back again, the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor or its wiring could be loose or busted.

Sometimes ECU swap brings up some weird codes. Try clearing them first.
The sensor is right under the throttle body.

Any one heard this one before. Alright, had the code cleared and it came back on the next day. So i popped the hood to see if I could spot anything out of the ordinary. I was not really expecting to find much as I am not too savvy yet about this car. Well I noticed instantly some frayed wires. A closer look led me to a pile of food and what looked like a nest. So i popped the engine covers off and sure as sh**t there were mice nesting in my engine. I had not driven the car for three days as I was sick with the flu. So imagine how pissed I was when I finally get better and find this out.

Well I am in the process of trying to clean out the engine. As you know it is a tight compartment and a mouse is smaller than my hands. It is a pain in the a** so far and I have not been able to reach more than half of the stuff? Any suggestions on how to get the rest of this garbage out? I have a shop vac with a tiny attachement that worked for most of it but it won't help me out with the stuff way down there. Would taking a pressure washer to the engine be a big no no?

To funny! I had a mouse take up residence in my old motorcycle.
Find a car wash & pressure spray it all out. Hopefully they didn't eat any of the wires!

If you reset the CEL & it comes back on, chances are there is a problem some where, & the CEL is telling you to fix it.

if you can spray it out with an air compressor do that more control less chance of knowcking something out of place
Ha, Ha, very funny mouse in Audi! Actually I don't think it is all that funny. There was not one code but three separate codes that came up when I scanned it last. This could get expensive. This is going to set me back on getting the mods done I want.

Also I don't know how much I want to get water involved. I can see some chewed wires, but I am sure I can't see all of them. I don't know if I want to take the chance of frying anything.

I might try the saran wrap idea but this sounds like it could take awhile. Sounds like an all day project.

a pressure washer....thatd be bad, knock loose all kinds of things, ill describe how you can clean it......people clean and detail their engines alot......just wd40 all electrical connections thean using saran wrap, and plasticbags&rubber bands cover all electrical relays boxes etc, then get a citrus engine degreaser spray it on after letting the engine warm up a bit and spray it on.....let it sit per the instructions on the bottle for hard first get a plastic bristle brush (something that wont scratch) and clean and scrub then let a heavy flow of water fall and clean off all the degreaser...dont spray you dont need too just take off the sprayer and let it pour on...i am of course not reponisble for your car getting damaged but if you wd40 and wrap everything right youll most likely be fine

btw once done youll have to redress the hoses and such with a non silicon dressing......too protect them and make them look black and new again

wow, long post for me

later
Pressure washing an S4 engine bay is fine! All the electrical connections are water tight, and all the other connections are hose clamps & such.
I did it a few times when I first got the car, to clean out 6 years of crud in the engine bay, everything was fine. Coin car washes don't use very
high pressure.

If you have bare wires hanging out, then get that fixed first. Make sure it's the wires showing & not the sheath there in.
