Default GIAC chip
If I purchase a GIAC chip used from someone will I have to send my ecu out to get it flashed or could I just plug the chip in and go?

I believe all of GIAC's current line of tunes are all flashes. You'd need to send your ECU out to get it flashed. Some places will also just exchange your ECU for one that's already been flashed.
