Good Deal?
I came across a 2000 s4 2.7T with 46,321 mi. on it. They are asking for $20,990.00, however, the blue book value is $16,185.00. Do you think thisa good deal or I should neg. my price lower, go by the KBB??
well everybody else goes by blue book i would at least start there if not cheaper, search through the classifieds and see what is out there there are a lot ofB5 s4's for way cheaper then that.

if you want a b5. looks for 2001.5 or 2002. that 2000 has low miles which is nice, but in 20K miles you'll have to do the timing belt, water pump etc which is a $1000+ job. also looks for a stock car because if it's been modded, chances are the person beat on it.
btw turbo's can go at any time which would be a very expensive fix. just warning you, but it is a very fun and very very fast car if you do a few upgrades
start at KBB price.

Thats a pretty terrible deal Id say. The only way I could justify paying that much over blue book is if it is a super rare color combo. Even then, 4k over blue book is ridiculous, it pisses me off when people try to pull that ****. Maybe paying a grand or so over would be okay, but not 4. its not hard to find a good S4 in with decent miles for under blue book value.
I would start off by asking those douche bags why the hell they think that car is worth that much over blue book. When they feed you some line of crap like blue book is only relative, in this part of the country, this year, make, model, mileage goes for well over blue book....blah blah blah go online and and show them someone elses price that matches blue book.

Thanks for the advice. It is a stock car and thats what threw me off. I look for answers here from the guys and girls who know what they are talking about! I will keep searching and do my homework!
btw what color is it? and stick or tip?
colors are...
brilliant black
avus silver
Nogaro blue pearl effect
santorin blue
pearl white ( casablanca white was 2001+ I believe)
imola yellow
laser red
cactus green
hibiscus red
I think that's it from the best of my knowledge for that year.
