Default GT25r kit

I have a b5 s4. Could i just bolt on gt25r turbos buy wastegates and harware and turbing w/ the software and fueling kit possibly cams. Or is that a bad idea to do. I just dont want to spend 13,000++ on a turbo kit.

Default RE: GT25r kit

You can buy everything you want seperatly instead of in a kit, however you will probably need to do some custom work, and no one says its going to be cheaper than the kit. Beyond everything that is included in a kit there are alot of supporting modifications that are pretty much nessicary. Intercoolers, a Full exhaust including downpipes, and a clutch are highly reccomended. I wouldnt go GT25R without a Big Break Kit and nice suspension. Theres countless things you will want to buy along the way that will greatly add to the performance and enjoyment you get form driving. Cheap isnt the way to go with an s4... Its best that you make sure everything from the intake to the tip of the exhaust works together, if you leave a weak point in your system somehting will break.

With that said, new turbos are an expensive commitment. if you have the money and time to put in it GT25r turbos would certainly be alot of fun. Weather you go with a kit or not is up to you, but expect to spend a whole lot more money than you think.
