So i heard that I can stick my headlight into an oven for ten minutes at a set temp which will cause the glue to melt. then after you get the orange marker out, you put it back in the oven to heat the glue again, put it back together with the glue melted and let it dry. Have you guys heard of this? Have any of you done this? How well does it work? Would it work on our lights?

Don't do that unless you are prepared to buy new lights. It's not glue, it's a silicone sealant. You can warp & melt the headlight, so be careful.

Yes... you drill a hole in the back (or solder like i did, its cleaner and less dangerous) go in through the hole with a screwdriver, break the lil tabs that keep it in place, then move it so it slides out, take a pliers, break the tab into pieces and pull teh pieces out through the headlight bulbhole.... Check out the diy section on audiworld, i believe they have a better write up..but thats essentially it...

oh and then fill the hole you drilled/soldered with marine caulk, let dry put back in.

i dont see a hole really...and how closely are you really inspecing the deep internal of the headlight?

its a diy, its not going to be perfect..if you want perfect go spend the 500 bucks on ecode's.

ive done 4 sets of lights now including a B6 headlight pair.
If dont properly you cannot see any holes at all and look like it was supposed to be like that.
And for your first time it will prolly take about an hour to complete. I got my time down to about 20min now.
