Default heater coil or climate control issue?

been having some issues with my heating. i will run the climate control to "hi" after the car is warmed up, it will run warm for a little bit and start to cool down after a couple minutes. turn off the climate control, wait 5 minutes and its hot again, only for a few minutes, then it gets luke warm. anybody have issues like this before and have any insightful recommendations? its starting to get cold here, and i would appreciate any help! thanks!

Sorry man, I don't have a solution for you. I have been fighting this same issue for the past 2 winters. The closest I could get was when I pumped out the coolant tubes runnning into the cabin. I used a chemical to try and break down debris that may have come off the heater core. That seemed to work for a few weeks but after that it was back to normal (no heat). But I am determined to remove my entire dash soon and replace the heater core. I'm thinking that might be my issue, hopefully. I know that this has happened with a lot of B5 owners.

sounds like your heater core is pluged up. Take it to a rad. shop that can boil out the whole system and that should fix it for both of you.
