Default Help: HAd the 60K service done and now the car leaks PS fluid.

All,

I need a bit of help, I had the 60K mile service done at a shope, and when I got the car home, I came out the xt day and there was oil under the car. I assumed that the new crank seal tehy put it was leaking, so I took it back, and he found that one of the power steering lines was leaking. The "fixed" it and I came and picked it up, and all was well until shortly before I got home... Then I started to smell burning oil again. It is leaking pretty badly, but the resevoir is still full... I pulled the charge pipe and such on the driver's side but cant seem to find where the leak is...

Has anyone experienced this before, and if so what joint should I be looking at?

I woulf take it back to the shop a second time, but 1) I dont trust him to touch my car again (this would be the third time its been apart, it leaked coolant the first time he put it together, and PS fluid the seond time) And 2) Im going on a trip this coming week and I want to know it has been fixed properly.

if the power steeringis still full then it cant be that ( smell oil burning while in motion ) sounds like the oil filter could be loose or they stripped the threads on the sump plug while doing the service

I'm not sure what you are asking. You say PS fluid, then say oil, then say crank seal. Is it leaking oil, or PS fluid?

I would bet you have more oil leaks, coming from the cam seals, VGC, or upper oil pan.

If the PS line is leaking, it's either time to replace the line.

im looking more at the fact it wasn't leaking anything before the service and was afterwards ( I doubt its power steering only a guess though ) so my guess is oil leak so look under the car for oil leaks because when the car is in motion the oil will filter back to the exhaust which is why im thinking it could be the oil filter loose or threads stripped on the sump plug/oil drain plug

Actually, it was both, it was the resivour line leanking, AND the cam seals... I had to take it back, and they are in teh process fo fixing the cam seal issue.
