Default help with heated seats

so its starting to get cold and the heat in both my front seats (00 s4) are not working properly. On both seats, the bolsters get warm but not the centers. My assumption is that the heating elements are damaged. Before i remove the seats to further investigate is there any suggestions for what could be the source of the problem?
Are the heating elements accessible from underneath once i remove the seat?
Can they be replaced? any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in NY so it's gonna be pretty cold soon.
thanks

Mine do the same thing. I dont think you can access them from under the seats though. I had the seats out in my old a4 and you could not on them and I'm positive they are the same.
