HEY need help from you guys: which model
posted this b4,
hey, im 16 years old in D.C.
anyways, im looking to get my first car, although ive had my liscense for about a year. I want to buy a stick shift (No Automatic is not a choice for me). Okay, so, my friend is good w/ cars and he said i should get an a4 (S) series. But I was looking at the 2000 TT.... i Can Only afford a year 2000 model of either b/c i am only going to be able to pay about 12-14k at the most since im just 16. so obviously it's going to be used. I noticed dat the s4 is more expensive for obvious reasons with the horsepower and liters etc.... plus i think its 6 speed.
To get to the point, anyone have recomendations on wheter i should get a TT 2000, or an s4 2000. I beleive the TT 2000 looks a whole lot better inter and exter. than the s4 does, although s4 newer models look great
Thanks for the input... hopefullyI can get a car soon.

Check into insurance first. I bet you will be very unhappy with the rates on the S4 or TT. Unless you have a good job & hook ups on repairs, stay away from a modern German car. Get a older E36, E30 BMW, Early Audi 90, or any Japanese car.

DO NOT GET A E36 BMW, they are just as bad on reliability as the S4s.

LOL, Not even CLOSE! The E36, is the Honda Civic of the BMW world, it's about the cheapest BMW you can own. It's a TON more reliable, then the S4.
This is true, I have an E36 318is and I have done nothing on it but oil changes, it isent the fastest car by far but it is very fun with the rear wheel and the 2 doors. Very Cheep very fun, you cant go wrong.
-Also I have the same insurance situation as you. the insurance is fine under your parents name until you get a ticket, so watch out.

Also you need to figure out what kind of car is most practical as a 16 yr old. A TT is really not practical at all since it really is only a 2 seater and is more of a cruiser.
