It depends on what you're looking for. The B5 (2000-2002) is popular because of it's "potential" as some call it. It is relatively easy to modify and, for a german car relatively cheap. The B5 S4 is the best bang for your buck audi on the market right now, and you are a 24-26 MPG car (some claim more). If you are a person who wants a nicer interior or the simplicity of a N/A quick car the B6 or B7 S4/S5 is the car to have. If you are looking at those you should look to spend, on average $10,000-$15,000 more and you will have a car that gets 17-19 mpg (70mph driving). They are wonderful cars, I haven't seen my car in months due to it being re-painted and I miss it more than anything, almost too much [

If its over 60,000 its a safe bet to say that you have about 20,000 miles where that stuff could go, after 75,000-80,000 its almost inevitable.
