Good to know I'm safe here in the midwest (WI). If someone is going to steal your **** they are going to do it, alarms and locks and screws are not going to stop them.

i live right out of boston. and i would NEVER leave my car overnight in boston EVER. If you check out bostonaudi.org, we have a good amount of memebers thats been hit too many times. In result? time to get a new car. These theives will pry them out. And you'll end up paying for the deductable. Our s4's are no joke is boston. they know for a fact we got xenons.... and they're extremely easy to take out. If i was you, i'd get the loudest alarm with sensors right on tyhe housing and that special bracket that somone in the boston forums have made to make the housings almost impossible to come out.

You think Thieves unscrew them? They just rip them out, since you can replace the plastic tabs on them.

What you can do is use some metal brackets and add extra bracketing to the headlights. So you would have a solid metal tabs holding the lights in.
I doubt Thieves can tell the difference between HID & Halogen.

The other things to do is park where there is heavy pedestrian traffic, and good lighting.

Or you can just take out the lights your self and pop them in the trunk. They can steal what isn't there.

I've from Boston, and never had a nice car when I lived there. My car had dents on every panel, parking & driving is just so aggressive. Not to mention the dam pot holes!

You know, I used to have nightmares since theives have tried to steal my Eagle Talon years back many times.. enough fuel cutoff switches and alarms finally deterred them. I used to be worried about the Evo, but now all my mods are internal, and I figure that it would be nice if insurance would buy me a new one. The Audi.. haven't even thought about it, there are too many Audi's and BMW's downtown!

As for the HID lights, yes they crowbar pretty much any car they feel like. I'd leave 'em be and get insurance to replace them. I've seen what happens when it doesn't come out nice... you need a new hood too! Besides, now a days I've seen a lot less in the past 2-3 yrs. HIDs are too common and not much resale for them anymore since kits cost so little now a days.
