That's interesting... There was an epidemic here in Miami about this time last year, so it must be migrating up the coast. They were taking anything with HID's. You'd drive around town seeing Porsche 911's, BMW's, Infiniti's, etc.with one or even two head lights missing! They even tried my lady friend's G35 in our work parking lot (in an upscale area mind you), in BROAD-F'ING-DAYLIGHT!!! They must've gotten scared off cause they never finished, but they left several nasty screw driver gouges in the bumper.

My advice: just wait it out and let it pass... It was a trend here for a few months, but then stopped all of the sudden (prolly after the cops got privy to it and cracked down).I haven't seen any of that since. Just park your S in awell litarea at night, and maybe hook-up a cheapo alarm to 'em some how. I would not bolt them in stronger, cause they'll just try harder (i.e. more damage).

i remember seeing a tread on az were someone made a metal bracket that held the lights in, preventing them from being stolen
