Default how many hours?

ok, so since its freezing outside im not gona sit and jack up my car in the driveway in order to do my cv boot replacement, dp install, and timing belt replacement over my spring break. instead a buddy of mine is gona do it in his shop with my assistance cuz lets face it, these are some pain in the *** jobs. only downfall is technically ill just be spectating for insurance purposes and he wants some cash. so im going to work out a deal with him on that.

my question is: how many hours do yall think ill rack up with these three jobs?
the jobs again are: DP install, timing belt, cv boot replacement.

dp install takes maybe 3 hours if you're proficient. you have to remove the front axles and the nuts to the turbos are a pain to get at without the right tools.

you can knock out the cv boot while doing the dp's, thats maybe 15 extra minutes.

t belt is a big job, maybe 6 hours if you've done it a few times. 10 if you haven't.

np, if you have any questions feel free to ask man, ive done all 3 jobs several times. the dp's are a bitch unless you have the car on a lift, or you will need some high jackstands.

10 hours is long shot, especially for a shop. With a lift you can do it in 3 hours. Without a lift, it is probably going to take you longer, especially if it is your first time.

I think it's a bit optimistic. You can spend a lot of time just to remove the drivers side O2 sensor if you dont have the right tool + the aluminium cover over the axle are bolt on with allen bolt and the are expecially PITA to get back on. My guess would be 4-5 hours for DP, 6 hours for TB, 1.0 hour for your CV boot. If you get all of this done in 8.0 hours give me you're adress i have a job for you.

Good luck !

i changed my cv joint in the rain when it was 40* outside. talk about a horrible idea. the job took me all day cuz i kept going inside to warm up. the biggest pain was getting the upper control arms back into their holes.
