you just happened to figure this out? that's lucky as all hell!! why even bother changing the turbos?? if you want to change them, then the gt25r is the next best upgrade, don't go to hybrids

Sooks - I always thought that K04/RS6 and K04/16 were two different things, could be wrong. As for 500whp....DAP a regular on Audiworld and Mark P both were close or slightly over that at the wheels recently on EPL's dyno. Both of these are plain jane K04 cars. While many question how generous EPL's dyno really is I did personally witness Autospeeds GT25R car make 490whp there a couple months prior. I'm not sure of all the logistics of it, the setting on the dyno may have changed as surely the weather conditions. I do believe the ASP GT car was running 93 octane while I'm not sure what DAP and Mark P were running....maybe a mixture or straight 100 oct. However typically it seems stage 3 K04 cars are in the 360-440 whp range. But this is all so subjective due to which dyno, weather conditions, fuel and etc.

Hano - I think you are confused about K03/16 (a.ka. tribrids) vs K04/RS6s or K04/16. K04/RS6s or K04/16 typically make more power than plain jane K04s, however it seems uncertain to me at this point just how much and if it justifies the additional cost. K03/16s are still not as reliable as plain jane K04s, and while they are close, do not make as much power as the K04s.

As for the 11sec S4, I believe you are talking about Marc's car (BigBlueMoster or BigBlueBeast).... that is definitely a different cause...that car has extensive weight reduction done to it... and I believe even a little shot of juice as well. Marc himself will even admit that his 11sec car (recently broke into the 10's I think) is due to weight reduction and isn't all that much more powerful than a typical well running stage 3 car.

pkblue. i hear what youre saying.. the gtcars are what i was referring to that will make more than the 450 mark. im pretty sure that any hybrid or k04 car that ive seen on pump gas though still hits the wall at the same point. so i dont think its worth the extra hassle/money. yhea, i could be confused as well on which hybrids are which..

yea, marcs car is what i was referring to and absolutely why he is posting such good times is because of serious weight reduction, but he is still pretty maxed out with the k04 so it was a good example off the top of myhead.

Sooks.... I definitely agree, the gt cars will be more capable of than K04'ed cars. I personally think we are seeing the extents of K04 tuning....450-500whp while we are just beginning to see what the gt cars are capable of. Not to mention gt cars are providing to be smoother and most likely more reliable. I'd personally be going that route if I have the budget to.

that's absolutely insane.... my goal is to get every ounce of power from the car as possible. and then i'll let you all know.... in the next few years of course..

yeah, he said he got to drive it when it was at waterfest briefly, albeit it wasnt tuned yet and was still breaking in the clutch. but said he got on it about 30% and it took off like a bat out of hell and that he hadnt felt anything like that before. keep in mind, his car before the gt kit was a big overhaul with a lot of rs4 internal stuff done that ran a 3.0-3.2 fats.

im hoping theyll get that finished up soon..as well as the fmic.. i want to get some numbers on it and pricing he was saying it should be somewhat like having quad rs4 intercoolers. and was guessing 2k for it.. but it was a guess. I hope thatd be the case.. if thats the kind of performance its giving 2k doesnt seem too bad.
