Default Hybrid valve questions.

Hey guys, couple of quick questions. I've been reading about these Forge "splitter" valves that can blow off a portion of charged air an recirculate the rest. I have a B5 S4, and I was wondering how well these would/do work? How much can you safely blow off? And can you actually hear them? I need to upgrade before I get a GIAC tune

Default Audi blow off valve/DV valve question.?

Audi blow off valve/DV valve question.?
Hi, i have a 1.8T audi a4. I know bov's are bad for the car, (turbo and check engine because they vent to atm) but i just want that sound. Is there a "hybrid" or something where is recirculates but still lets off a bit into atsmosphere so i have that sound? Or something i can control so when i want to show off etc i can have that sound and then switch back?

If you have the 1.8T you can run a BOV. I have the S4 but that's what I hear. Now stop hijacking my thread lol

just spam. Pay no attention.

Boostfreak- not too familiar with the splitter valves. I run the Forge 007 dv's and they work great. A reliable cheap option would be the 710 dv's from the audi tt. they can hold a little over normal stage 3 tuning.

I don't know about the S4's but I'm running an A4 with the Forge Splitter Valve and so far it's burned out 2 or 3 MAF sensors. And those aren't cheap. It sounds okay it's not the best sound compared to a BOV on a STI or EVO.

Burned out MAF huh? Haven't heard that before. Doesn't sound fun. Thanks for the heads up, man. I think I'll just steer clear.

Yeah no need for tugboat sounds! Play it safe, it's already nasty enough and plenty of other things to do! my buddy did have BV on his old B5 S4 and never had issues for over 50k miles...I know everyone's experience is different though...as for previous comments, don't take advice from the A4 owners, we have the S section for a reason. No disrespect for A4's though I have one too for a daily driver
