I LOVE this CAR!
Okay, so a completely redundant and obvious post, but I have to express my glee to those who can understand and relate. Also, if you're browsing this forum trying to get an idea of S4 owners' feelings...
I was driving to the dealer today, grumbling about the 3rd time I've had to have my CD changer replaced, and I took the back roads. The route is pretty bumpy with a lot of 25-30mph curves. I had the road to myself and really pushed it around the corners. Man, I couldn't stop smiling! The way this car grips the road, the nice drift you get, the smooth accelleration out of the turn, the rumble of the big V8... it's a blast! Forgot all about the CDs.
There is a lot of talk in this forum about EVOs and STi's and whatever, but all I can say is:
If you want a super fast vehicle, get an EVO or whatever. Better still, get one of these:

I've gotten mine up to 178mph and nothing beats the rush.
If you want something reliable, get a Honda.
If you want a badass car with a lot of luxury, power, grip and fun, the S4 is hard to beat.
By the way, I saw an RS4 while I was at the dealer. Just kill me now - I want it BAD!

178 indicated on speedo or GPS? Not actual speed if it is on your speedo. Probably closer to 158-162. Still hella fast.

I've been reading a lot in this forum about all the various mods and it sounds like the best bang for the buck on the B7 are the downpipes (Neuspeed?) and maybe the whole exhaust setup. Then wait for the supercharger and take out a second mortgage on the house to get it. Oh, wait, I already did that to get the car... In the bit of research I've done, sounds like it's harder to get the downpipes for the tiptronic?
Actually the busa is electronically limited at 186. If you were to hit 186 on your bike it would indicate close to 210-215, unless you have a speedo healer. Just think you have a machine that will do close to 190 and you didnt even have to take a second mortgage out, or did you....lol
wait i thought they claimed top speed was 220
