I may need to sell my S4, whats it worth?
Im just laying this out here, because im going through a financial crisis... I have a 2001 Silver Audi S4 its clean, drives great,I have maintenance records through my ownership. I am having a shop doTiming belt, water pump, thermostat, belts, cam seals, plugs, coils and a driveshaft. The turbos pull strong, and it has4 brand new tires.
146,000 miles on the odometer
Do you think I could sell it for 10k? Or am I way off base? I looked on autotrader with a 300 mile radius... there was about 10 S4's 2000-2002 selling for 14k-24k one was $7500 with salvage title. Give me your honest opinion so i can figure out what to do.
Thanks,

Your best bet is to sell outright... and be a bit of a salesman. Sell the fact that you have done ALL the maintenance for them, and they are buying a solid car.
Out of the 15+ cars I have owned I have never personally owned a car with 150k or even 100k miles, so there are a bunch of people that get scared of those types of numbers. I just bought a 2000 S4 with black on grey interior, with spotless exterior, and the grey interior looks like 88k miles… it was by far the best car I saw for three months of looking and the average asking price was 14-15 grand, this dude was also in a financial bind and sold for $11,500.

You got a pretty good price i think. on autotrader within 300miles of me shows S4's for 16k+ with 70-80k miles. Id much rather sell my firebird but at this point it needs to be which ever one can sell first if you know what i mean.
$10k sounds fair, but it's all about where you are & what the market is like in your area. I would be more inclined to sell it for $13k, or at least put it up for that.
Don't dwell on the mileage, focus on the overall shape & condition of the car. I would rather have a well cared for higher mileage, then a low one that is beat up. You should also get the car detailed inside & out.
