I want a s4 in the worst way. I dont know waht year to get. I know i want a 2000-02 but i dont know which one is the best. These cars sound fast!Is the manual trans a better car to get? I have a 1967 VW notchback right now and I need a car for everyday driving.

 

Well ideally you would probably want the later year for the b5 model..Most of the kinks were worked out by 2001.5. They have different badges and esp. Search the forums and you will find a lot of information on the differences between 00-02. I would recommend getting a manual. Afterall it a luxury sports car and is meant to be driven by one. There is a stg III for sale for 18.9k...has a good amount of miles but the owner is reputable so you are likely buying a more reliable car. Not to mention it is fitted with k04's which are known to be more reliable then k03's...
