ideal wheel offset
I currently have on my 01 S4 alloyswhich are8.5”x18” offset 50. They were on the car when I bought so I did not realise they would catch on the front fenders of the caron every corner I go around and from what I can see the car has been lowered and the fenders rolled.
I need to replace the wheels as its going to rip my fenders so my question is what wheel offset suits these cars the best? I would like to stick with 18s but I would go with 17 if I had to.
These are the wheels I currently have on the car.

i have 18x8.5 35mm offsett with 235 rubber. fenders are not rolled, i have very minimal rubbing, except under HARD braking. Like going 120mph in a 45 zone and a landscaping truck pulls across your lane. That kind of hard braking.
if you search on tire rack or any other website i believe thats the offsett they give you. But if i get a BBK i need new wheels. My calipers are CLOSE
