Just bought S4, have few boost problems, need help...
Hi,
Just bought yesterday 00 s4.
Today check engine light came.
Previous diagnostic showed MAF problem and O2 problem...
Now my car feels like not enought boost...
It drives not like it should be... maybe its a safe mode?
Does O2 influence on boost?
or I should replace MAF sensor first...
Is there the way to clean MAF sensor?
Any suggestions?
Please help, just dont want to spend $$$ for nothing....

Where did you buy it from? If you bought it from Audi I would take it back and ask them about it. If it really happened the next day they show lienancy (lol...sure
)
Previous diagnostic showed MAF problem and O2 problem... So this was diagnosed and fixed before? Or this is the error showing now? Don't understand this statement
As I understand O2 sensors can play havoc on things since they tell you CPU about rich/lean conditions which in turn tells the CPU how much boost to apply. A safety feature of sorts. (God I hope thats right....I'd had to give bad advice or get flamed for not wording that correctly)
No clue of how to clean the MAF....I'd search for that.
I don't usualy reply to questions for fear of giving incorrect information, but saw you have recieved no feedback yet. I hope this was helpful a little.

well you can clean a maf but you must be very careful. get a cue tip and dip it in some rubbing alcohol. just a little bit, rub that on the elements and that should clean the thing, just be careful and take your time.
Hi,
OK I have fixed that.
For your future reference, you can clean MAF on S4.
What I did is took CRC Electrical cleaner and sprayed o the sensor, then made a computer restart (unplug main battery for 5 minutes).
Car runs like new again...
