Default long brake pedal

ok, 2000 S4... The brakes are fine, absolutely no shimmy in the wheel at hard breaking from higher speeds... stops almost on a dime, best breaking car I have ever had...

BUT... it seems like my brake pedal is too long... I had my Audi Mech look at it and he said that my breaks were in perfect condition... it just seems too long of a press for me... and if i pump the pedal, just once, and apply the brake again, its like it should be... bad feeling its the brake master cylinder... any info? comments? similiar cases?

air in system without a doubt, if you pump the paddle and it goes harder that's the tell tale warning "full system bleed recommended" your mechanic didn't notice this "shocking"

when i brought the car in to get it looked at for this problem, and another problem with my brake pad indicator (there is an open somewhere, only happens on long drives, indicator for break wear coming on) they said my brake pads all looked brand new, and i brought up the issue with the "spongy pedal" and they looked at it and said everything was fine, then i had them do a full system flush/bleed (for $119 by the way)... they said it was fine, which it was, for about a week and a half, then it started this again...
