hey everyone, I am new here.

I am looking into buying a 2000 Audi S4 Quattro. It has all the standard specs. It has 95,000 miles on it. The dealer is asking $11,900. I am also trading my SUV (99 Ford Explorer Sport) in. Is this a good deal, or would I be getting ripped off? This will be my first Audi, and I know they can be pricey. Thanks for all your help!


I did read the FAQ too.

 

Make sure it has had the timing belt and waterpump replaced... also make sure the turbos are in good shape.

11,900 after the trade?? how mch are they giving you for your Exploder? Ya make sure about the TB and WPand that they are changed. A lot of little things in these cars that can go wrong, just to let u know, but they are great cars. It's def an addiction!

 

Sorry I didn't clarify that. $11,900 before the trade. When I went down to the place yesterday, they said the owner stepped out for a minute so they said I can go back tomorrow and he'll tell me what they will give me for my explorer. I paid $3500 for my '99 Explorer with 93K on it. It's in really good condition, clean and everything. Now it has 110K on it. I'm hoping they'll ATLEAST give me 2K for it if not 1,500.

I can going down to the dealer with my friend in 2 and a half hours. He knows a lot about cars, so hes going to check it out for me and come for thr test drive with me. I will ask about the WP & TB. Thanks again! Anyone else have any other comments to add?

not to give your hopes up but i dont think theyll give you that much for a trade in. Your better off selling it yourself. You get ripped a new one and a hlf for trading ina car. But good luck with her

 

That shady looking building looks familiar, is it located in Northern Virginia?

Make sure the timing belt / water pump has been replaced, otherwise your overdue. Make sure you see reciepts or demand $1000 bucks off the price.

"standard specs?" 6 speed or auto, any performance modifications?
