Looking at a few B6 S4's
OK I have been hunting S4's for the past few months finding what I want. A car recently popped up from a very well respected and reputable (if such a thing exists) rebuilt shop. The car is a 2005 S4 6-speed with a rebuilt title, black leather, sunroof, heated seats, in dolphin grey. The car was in a "minor" front eng collision replacing the headlamps, hood, grill and bumper. the wreck was soft enough the rad and condensor did not need repair or replacement. The car is mint, paint matches perfectly in color and gloss. Interior is not marred in anyway and so clean you could eat off of it (if someone were crazy enough to eat in their car). I am taken by this car because of the low miles and the color combo is what I have always wanted, it isn't the Avant I ahve wanted but that I can wait another few years on as I still will be keeping the explorer.
Before buying it I have already lined up a dealership that will do their "CPO" inspection for $265 and give me a list of anything out of spec, unoriginal or to be concerned with.
So the questions:
What is something like this with a rebuilt title worth these days?
Book claims 25,500 retail and $16,950 poor condition trade in value (both assuming clear title).
