Default Looking for Opinions......

Last year I bought a 2000 S4 with 63k miles on it for 5 grand....LOVE this car, and like everything else I own, its time to upgrade.

I have already gone with bigger Brembo brakes, and Axxis Ultimate pads, as well as Neuspeed stainless steel lines. (I am a firm believer in....no matter how fast it is, it has to stop sometime, and it may need to do it quickly.)

Now it is time for the Suspension, and here is where I need the opinions. I have looked at products from Koni and Bilstein for shocks, Eibach and Neuspeed for Springs, and H&R, Hotchkis, and Neuspeed for sway bars. And then comes the Coilover Sets from H&R and Eibach. Which do you all feel is the better choices for someone whois going to go with Front and Rear shocks, struts, springs, and swaybars front and rear??

As it stands I think the H&R Street Performance Coilovers, and the H&R Solid Adjustable Sway Bars front and rear are the way I am leaning, but I havent bought anything yet.

Let me know what you think please....expecially if you have any of these products, I would like Pro's and Con's as well.

Thanks

I have Eibach springs and shocks. I was disappointed, car seems to bounce on rolling road, liked stock better except the lowered look was nice. You didn't say how you plan to use the car but unless you are mostly track, I would say look at pss9 coilovers and maybe a rear sway upgrade. These shocks are adjustable and of course you can vary height with the coilovers.

The car will be a weekend warrior for the street (yeah yeah I know...street racing is a no no, but isnt smoking ricers and rustangs and cheVETTES so much fun?).
I am a very aggressive driver, I love twisty roads and straights too. When all the suspension and driveline is done, I plan to make a trip to see the guys at VAST for the GT2871R Upgrades and the 3.0L Motor and all of the necessary goodies to go with it, and with the HP gains, I want the car to handle as well as it can. I want to have all of the supporting upgrades done before I go to VAST so as to make the work as easy and painless as possible.

You will want to get coilovers for sure...I haven't done this to my car so you need to find someone with first hand experience. Good luck and be safe.

Well, the suspension is done (installed anyway). Now all I have to do is get it tweaked and set up for the way I drive. I went with the H&R Performance Street Coilovers, and H&R Anti-Roll bars front and rear. I have only had the car out once since then, and since there is ice and snow on the roads, the drive wasnt a very brisk one, but I can tell there will be a world of difference when set-up is done and the roads are dry. I am going to open another thread and hopefully get a discussion going about the next phase in this (expensive) project.
