Question Looking for an S4 lease. MMI or SPORTS REAR DIFFERENTIAL PACKAGE

Hello everyone.

I am about to pull the trigger on an S4.

Looking at one without the SPORTS REAR DIFFERENTIAL PACKAGE, but has an MMI.

Another one, which is about 2K cheaper with MMI.

I use my phone as a GPS most of the time so NAV is not a huge deal.

I heard that the SPORTS REAR DIFFERENTIAL PACKAGE is a must have for a better ride.

What do you guys think? Must have or Drop and go with a MMI Nav?

Hi, I am looking to lease the S4 too. From all I read, saw, and all my test drives ( have driven both with and without sports diff and also the new F30 335i), I would buy the S4 only if I could (and I will) get the Sports diff. For 1k I feel it adds a whole new dimension to the car. Handling wise in my limited test drive experience S4 without diff < 335i << S4 with diff. It helps with the problem of nose heavy weight distribution, and complements the Quattro really well, making the car feel glued to the road.
Best of luck!

Havent driven one without the sport diff, but can say with the sport diff the car feels wonderful...you can actually feel the diff in action around a corner....for $1k, would consider must have.

Default Diff A Must Have

Having had a 335i and test driven both the S4 without the diff and an S4 with the diff I went with the diff.

For the price it adds so much to the handling of the car.

Its a must...if you really want to enjoy all the S4 has to offer.

Good luck!

Everyone I spoke with said for $1k the sports diff is a must. The dealer I go to also said 90% of the cars they order with the sports diff cause people love it.

That's funny you said that, What's Next, because my dealer said the opposite, at least for people in my area. All of the cars on the ground, only 4 in the Princeton area, supposedly, have no SRD option.

The car i have on hold has every option except Titanium and SRD and I got it for about $100 over invoice plus paying off my last 2 payments on my Infiniti lease.
