Noob here. Im in the market for a turbocharged awd car and the S4 (particualary a 2001) model caught my attention. What should i look out for when im buying this car and what kind of maintenece should i expect? If i buy it it wil become my DD.The car has about 70k on it.

check to find out if the timing belt and water pump and tensioner was done and if so when??? 70,000 is around the time to need replacing.....

 

check the sticky's at the top of the s car forum, it will tell answer all your basic s4 questions

Thanks. That sticky was exactly what i was looking for. How much do the TBB go for online? Is it a DIY afternoon replacement, or is it something that i'll need an audi dealership to replace....

 

plan on replacing your speakers....sigh.
