Default mass air flow

Need advice - i was stuck in limp mode.. and then got check engine light - codes were for the mass air flow- but i just had it replaced like 3 months ago... sois this a normal thing orcan i get a upgraded one ...

you might wana clean it ...also are you running a k&n because those F*CK maf's pretty bad due to the oil on them

you can get an upgraded maf from AWE i think, i know they have one in their fueling kit, ask them if they could hook you up withj one... your car is a 2000 right?

There is more to it. If you are in limp mode, it's not all the MAF fault. The car will run ok with out the maf. You can disconnect it, & see if you still get limp mode.

My guess is you have, either a boost leak, or bad DV's causing the limp mode.

Yes, just cleaning the MAF might help, are you running a K&N air filter(?), if so that's your problem.

You CAN NOT run the Hitachi Maf conversion, unless you got K04's in there.

you can just diconnect the MAF and be ok? or is this a way of trouble shooting?

Yes, you can just unplug it, the car will use the MAP sensor. Of course it will throw a MAF code, but run, if the MAF is truly bad, it will run much better.

People how are hell bent on running a BOV, you tune the car to run with out the MAF, & just use the MAP sensor.

Oh, ok that makes sense. I prefer the DV's but good info for any body with ricer tendencies.

hey! well i was only in limp more for one day and the check engine light cleared it - and 3 maf codes came up- someone else recommened cleaning it . and no i don't have a kandn.. .and it an 2001! So i guess im gona have my shop try to clean it and c if that fixes it.... : )
