Mod's Available for a B7?
I am torn, I really like the ride in my 07 S4 Cab and feel it's pretty fast out of the box, But due to it's weight I think it needs a little more power. When I bought last month dealer told me no slots open for the new RS4 Cab coming out this fall, Now he tells me he has one available. Figure it would cost me around $20k+ to trade in mine for it. So would rather put some money into just moding mine. I haver owned an Audi before so know very little abouts what's available for them. I have done some searching but don't seem to come up with anything for B7. Also concerned about warranty issues. Liked that when I had my M3 I could have dealer do some Dinan Mods and no effect on warranty. Would appreciate it if anyone here could point me in the right direction. Thanks
A chip and a full exhaust will get you 40 more hp at the crank. The chip is about $600 and a full exhaust can be had for between $2,200 and $3,200 depending on who's setup you choose. The APR and ASP exhausts are real nice and in the $2,200 range. The Milltek which without much doubt is the nicest is $3,200. The question though is will the exhaust fit the cabriolet? They are made for the sedans and avants. Happy hunting and enjoy your car.
I know what you mean though.I'm smitten with desire for a RS4. I made the mistake of driving one, and now I just want to throw rocks at my S4.

adding power can be done to these things, but at a premium- ex. http://www.bb-automobiltechnik.de/bb...u_a4_8e_s4.php
i would suggest making this fat pig handle even better in corners than the straight-aways. it is agreed that sway bars are the cheapest quick fix for body roll. even modding to the rs4 sways improves this trait and should cost around 400 or less for both front and back (minus labor). if you have a manual, i'd suggest a new center differential with higer bias ratio- Stasis offers a 4:1 at $550 after you turn in your old center (again, minus install), but this gives you up to 80% bias to front or rear diff making the car act more like a fwd entering a corner, and rear when exiting. then, if you want to get out the check book, there are coil-overs for better handling and better brakes kits (i've been eyeing up all the stuff on the Stasis website, but just haven't bit yet since there are a few german tuners that i have access to that may give up the same benefits. for the money, i'd say handling is a bit less costly and more satisfying (unless you mostly do highway driving) than a modest gain in hp.

Was going to go with GIAC flash chip but the shopI plan on having it done at recommended I go with Untitronic, Could not find much about them here. CheckedUnitronics site and saw these gains,+21 hp, +17 lb. Anyone have any experience with them? Also I talked to dealership I bought my car at and they recommended I go with the Untitronic [/align]
