Default Looking at a 2001 S4 need advice

Hey everyone! I am new to Audi's and looking at a 2001 S4. It's Nagaro (sp?) blue, 6sp, 85000 miles, has a 2 position APR chip but no other mods, very clean interior, very clean paint, no dings, the guys dad is a dealer/exporter and can add on a 2 yr warranty through Assure-A-Car that would cover drivetrain, the price is 15,500 is it worth it? Seems high, he doesn't have service records and doesn't know if the timing belts or water pump have been done.
He did say the previous owner had the audi 80k service done,
What do you think?

If the car is well sorted out, that is a good price. You should be able to go & get the records from an Audi dealer. I would just say the TB job HAS NOT been done, unless there is a receipt or other record.

He called me back today, the warranty would be the top of the line for 2 years unlimited miles, he said the TB was NOT done, the previous owner called back. With the warranty he wants 16,500 because his cost would be 1800 for it. He also said he would have it inspected and do anything needed.
I also found a 20th anniversiary GTI with 13000 miles for 15k, but the audi seems like it would have better resale value.

I think the price is OK... I would offer him 14,500 and no warranty... then when he pushes you to 15,500, subtract the 800 that he is willing to put out of pocket for the warranty and counter offer for 14,700, and if he kicks back and says NO, then walk away and find another car, unless your willing to pay more... your choice.

I have a 6sp Nagaro blue in mint condition with 106K 2000. I love it but I paid 10500. Dont let them get into you give them a lower # theyll bargain with u. Everyone hates to turn down cash if your throwing it in there face!!
