New to the Forum. I have an 01 S4 Auto. And have a question. My g-tech says I am doing 0-60 in 5.1s, the 8th in 8.8s, And this car flys. I have had it for 3 weeks. And was told it was all stock from the Dealer (used car lot) when I got it. I can see it has the MTM muffler and tips, but want to know if it is chipped. I just bought the Forge Diverter Valves, should be in soon(can't wait), I see the stock ones are still on there, So that leads me to belive that it is not chipped yet, but 5.1 to 60 with about 180Lbs of audio in the trunk, and my 220Lb friend in the Pass seat. I think it is a little quicker than stock. Also I raced a 6 speed EVO VIII and took him by a fender length or so the first time, and he got me by a car length the second time (he launched hard) only off the line but not after that. We only raced to 90mph. I want to get the chip, but not if I might already have a chip. Also who's chip makes the most power and is most reliable.

It sounds like you have a full cat back exhaust on there. Chipped you should be able to walk all over a stock evo. The exhaust should (i think) put you up there in 0-60 times, and your numbers may be slightly off as well (you never know). But i bet you it isnt chipped, and it has exhaust.

 

I couldn't say for sure, but it seems that the GIAC-X and APR chips are both very powerful, additionally I have been able to find alot of good info on the APR chip and reliability, and if you replace the diverters (done for you) and probably the TBB I haven't heard of it causing any more of an issue as far as failure goes. Also you can get multiple programs which is pretty cool. I purchased mine and got 2 programs, stock and chipped, that way if I want I can switch back and forth. I would get the APR one, but I am sure you can find plenty of others here that rave about the GIAC those seem to be the most popular.
