Default My rear end seals are leaking

I have a 2000 S4 with 118k and I was replacing the fuel filter tonight when I noticed that my rear end was wet with gear oil. It looks like it's coming from the half shaft seals. Can anyone tell me how difficult this job will be? I'm not a novice, but I also don't have my own lift or access to one. Thanks.

Default RE: My rear end seals are leaking

By the way, I just finished the fuel filter a minute ago. The old filter was so dirty I couldn't blow through it. I blew backward anda ton ofdirt came out. This must have been the original filter. I just bought the car about 2 months ago and hadn't gotten around to changing that filter. The test drive was surprising. I always had what I considered a loss of power in the high RPM range. It might be my imagination, but the damn thing ran like mad.
