MY S4 BLEW UP!
Last November i bought a brand new 2005 S4. I was driving on the expressway in febuary (about 1200 miles on it by then) when the check engine light came on and i pulled over right away as i had lost most power. The car proceeded to catch fire and completly go up in flames!! I was lucky to get out. Since then audi have given me all my money back but are extremely lazy in telling me what the problem was. In fact no one has and no one from the company seems to be worried about it. Any opinions??
sounds like a scene out of Planes Trains & Automobiles. Sorry to hear that...most likely they'll postpone revealing that the fire was completely their fault so as to avoid a lawsuit, (which you should've filed anyway). Did you have an oil change or any service done immediately before the fire?...
just think "a lost opportunity to sue the crap out of them" they would have given you a new car and cash for the harrowing experience and the shock it imprinted in your mind also those in the car wow they must have suffered extreme shock and will haunt them for the rest of their lives ( see where im going )
I'm sorry...perhaps I am being a bit too cynical, but this just seems like a troll post.
early b6 s4 v8s had some problems and some had to be replaced. But none of them that I have heard of had any kind of fire associated with the failure.
Also, who of us would if in this situation not have a lawyer already and be all over AoA. I mean this is the stuff that class action law suits are made of. That and the fact that it is new memeber that is posting...we have no track record with this person....and the surprising lack of detail for what must have been a horific event.
I'm not buying it...
