So i'm going this evening to check out (to buy) a 2000 S4 with 48k miles, manual tranny, AWE chip and AWE exhaust.

I really would like your advice as to what i need to be looking for/at when i go check this thing out. What kind of questions do i need to ask etc. I know the basics (what service was done lately, etc)

But specifically for an S4 with these mods, what should i be worried about? Thanks all.


Also, what kind of advice can i get for bartering price down? (i.e. 'oh at 60k i need to replace such and such, so i can't really pay that much, so i'll give you a little less cuz i'll have to replace such and such soon anyway.)

Oh yeah, the seller also says that the car has:

'Free lifetime upgrades from AWE Tuning'

Yet i'm located in L.A. is this ridiculous to state on his part? Since the AWE place is on the East Coast? Any thoughts?
