So i'm going this evening to check out (to buy) a 2000 S4 with 48k miles. I really would like your advice as to what i need to be looking for/at when i go check this thing out. What kind of questions do i need to ask etc. I know the basics (what service was done lately, etc)

But specifically for an S4, what should i be worried about? Thanks all.

Also, what kind of advice can i get for bartering price down? (i.e. 'oh at 60k i need to replace such and such, so i can't really pay that much, so i'll give you a little less cuz i'll have to replace such and such soon anyway.)

Oh yeah, The car, some more details.

2000, s4, yellow, manual trans. AWE chip, AWE exhaust, stock wheels, premium sound (to be replaced with the sound system i have in my 97 a4 anyway). Um, that's all i got. He also says it gets 'free lifetime upgrades from AWE tuning' does this mean anything to ya'll?

the only thing i can think of it the timing belt, water pump, temp sensor and tensioner be replaced around 60000 miles.

i belive what awe means by free upgrades is that if you add more modifications to your engine they will flash your ecu to get the most out of your new parts
