Default need help with s4 purchase

hey im looking at getting a 2000 s4 its got k04s running on stock intercoolers. the k04s only have 12000 miles along with a few the stage 3 clutch injectors and a few other things. do you think the k04s are still okay running on those stock s4 intercoolers? when/if i do get it i would probably get the cxracing front mount for it. i would like a little more advice on what else to do with it and if it looks like a good buy thanks

If it has under 100k and cost less than $10k, your probably getting a good deal. The intercoolers aren't a huge deal unless your boosting heavly on the car all the time, you'll want to keep a weary eye on that temp guage. And really, what's the point in dropping ko4's if u can't give them the cooling it needs. If u get the car, fork over for the rs4 intercoolers, it'll get more life out of those turbos, and make them perform like they're suppose to.

I think it depends on what he is asking for the car. Having done the k04 swap already you at least dodge the big nightmare of having the stockers blow, but if he is asking some ridiculous price because the k04s are new or something I would keep looking. If you keep the stock setup (boost included) and have good records of regular maintenance the k03s could last for a long time.
