Need Info, Buying 2004 S4
My cousin is selling her S4. The car has 68K highway miles and has a automatic transmission and is black on black. Based on mileage and realiability of Audis. Is the car worth $20K? Does anyone know the dealer's black book value on this car? I know the kelly blue book value, but sometimes the black book list a different price.
I have done the research on these cars and looks good so far. Apparently the V8 is a solid engine. The only info I couldn't find in detail was about the auto trans on the S4. I would like to know if this is solid trans. What kind of trans is it (i.e. SMG type)? Anyone have any issues with it? Can Audis go 200K miles without major issues if you maintain them?

The 4.2 is solid.
My advice:
Don't buy a tip transmission, for that matter,don't buy any automatic transmissions. Go find a good deal for a 6spd on ebay/craigslist/autotrader/cars.com
