did some searches and found some great info but would like to repoll and see what you folks were recommending for exh/chip for the B6 version of the S4.

best way for exhaust is go to you tube and look up for your car, and you can see what one you lke the best for sound cause that is what matters most to jsut about everyone. as forchip you will not gain to much maybe 20 -30 hp or mtm with there s/c kit for like 20,000.

 

Milltek, Fast Intentions.
YA the chip wont give NA cars too much increase, but every bit is nice. There is GIAC, APR etc. Im not too familiarwith the B6's

 

Go for Fast Intentions' exhaust system, you will not regret it!!! In terms of chips, GIAC comes out on top by like 1HP and a couple ft/lbs of torque. If you want to gain some more HP, grab yourself a K&N drop-in filter (the other aftermarket systems cause a loss in HP). Our cars are hella heavy, so my advice is to grab some light wheels, and compliment that with calipers and rotors. Also, when you get your exhaust, go with stainless steel to savesome weight as well. I did Milltek DPs and catback (resonated), and am happy with the results. Also did the Milltek intake which is supposed to give about 10hp. Lots of peeps say go non-res on the pipes, but that'stoo loud IMO. Just depends what you want. I did the Revo "chip" (it's really just flash software) because it has a dealie where you can change it back to stock when you go to the shop (I'm still under warranty). As others have said, chip doesn't do much in the way of hp, but it does add a little torque and adjusts the timing for better power down low. I got it all done at once so I can't tell you where the best power gains came from, but overall it's definitely faster.
