New to Audi and S4, Couldn't be happier!
I am the proud new owner of a 2000 S4, Silver, 6 speed, non-sunroof rocket! I am finally rid of the 2000 Nissan Maxima which plagued me with mediocrity, reliability, and barely adequate sensation of sportiness. I spent 92K miles and over 3.5 years of my life in that sedan, and although it was probably the most reliable car I've had to date, it just didn't do it for me anymore, especially after driving my first 2.7t about a week ago.
I can't believe I have not found the way of Audi sooner. It is probably due to their relatively high purchase cost when compared to front wheel drive cars of similar straight line performance. The thing is, Audi is so much more than straight line, as you roll on the throttle mid corner, and the turbos spool up and pull you along from turn in through apex, it's a thrill that can barely be described, and simply not duplicated in a FWD econosportbox.
The build quality is so superior that what I am used to, even with 71K on the clock, my new (to me) Audi S4 feels as solid as I would expect from new. The engine is smooth and quiet, and only when asked does it let its self be known that there is serious power under the hood.
Even though I'm 6'7, there's ample headroom without the sunroof, and is even comfortable to drive with 3 other adults all around 6' tall.
I could go on forever about the S4, but I'll stop now. I will undoubtedly use this forum when I have questions about my car, or to check the current scene and see what others are doing to and with their Audis.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to becoming a part of the Audi community, and taking my S4 to the track (about that later)
Cheers,

Hmmm I get the feeling you are enjoying your new toy??

I'm looking forward driving it every day for the next few to several years! I will undoubtedly take it to the track, and likely mod it up when it starts to become pedestrian to me. Luckily, Achtuning is a couple of miles away from me, as they seem to know what to do to these cars. I will have plenty of time to find out exactly where I want to take it, but I'm already beginning to look forward to 400+ HP within a couple of years. Who knows, it may even replace my 911 as my favorite track toy, and is already my favorite street toy!
Cheers

K04... now that sounds like a good time! I'll get there soon enough, within the next couple of years hopefully. I would like to pay the car off first, which should give me plenty of time to enjoy the stock turbos.
