Default NEW Guy!

Hey everyone! This is my first post here. Been pokin' around for some time and found the best information here, so this is where I am.

You guys really have a GIANT library of info here, and you should be really proud of that.

A bit about me. I live in Valley Village, CA. I work as a character animator for a video company in Burbank. Currently I drive a 2006 Scion tC. Love the car a ton, but it's time to upgrade... Need some more power, comfort, style, etc... So, within the next year, I'm going to be getting myself a B5 S4. I dont have any questions/comments as of yet, other than:

If theres someone in the area who would like to show off their car, and talk in person, possibly give me ride in their car, please PM me.

I'll be studying up here whilest I wait for the time to purchase!
Cheers!

EDIT>>> Looks like I posted this in the wrong section. Wow... nothing like off to a bad start.

Thanks for the warm welcome man.

... Still lookin' for a willing someone in the area to see/ride in their car.

I drove one last year at a used car lot. I reallly should've bought it but I knew nothing about the car then. I could've bought a SERIOUS headache. It was nice, and I just drove it for about 20 mins - but I was sold after that. Didnt really want to spend any more time psyching myself up, because I wasnt ready to buy. And it was "Abdul's Car Lot" or something semi-shady.

So if there's any words of wisdom - both ears are listening.

one word of advice, dont buy the first one you see because you are so pumped to get a S4. I have been looking really hard for the past 5 months and I almost bought 2 of them but i stuck it out to wait to find a better one, an dI am so glad I did, the one I just got has less miles and is 100times better than the ones I was looking at. Also go to a place that has a good rep. I got mine from carmax and it is the best one I have seen yet(and you guys on the forums might look better bu I havent seen yours so dont jump at me lol) but anyways I have mine forabout 3 weeks so I can say WELCOME to the wild world of the Audi.

Oh one other thing thank you for taking another grain of rice off the road

haha i bought the first one i saw. A friend printed me out an online autotrader page for it. It was a pain in the ***, the dealership that it was posted for was selling 3 s4's, some 300zx's, random cars. The owner said he posted the car for a friend who wanted to sell it but was no longer going to. That night i found the same car posted by the owner on craigs list. It was fate. I contacted him directly and after checking it out and a test drive it was sold. Pretty low miles, and very well cared for. I lucked out 18 months and all iv had to do is TRE's.

Well, I havent bought it YET, but hopefully soon. We'll see.

I love my Scion... just need something more modifiable. I havent riced it out or anything, but I have upgraded the entire the suspension, including Shocks, Springs, and Sways. Corners like a madman now.

BUT, as I said, I neeed "POWAAAH!" - Jeremy Clarkson

Still, I'll be keeping things in mind. I've found a reputable place, that deals strictly with S4s, in TN. They SEEM to be quite the place, so we'll see.

yeah..i spent over 6 months trying to find my car..granted at the beginning i wasnt just looking for s4's... but yeah... take your time and do your homework and really check over the car in question....also, dont be afraid to travel for it..i lived in iowa at the time and bought my car in sarasota florida.... if you can save a couple grand on a car elsewehre in the country...your saving money despite having to fly to get it.

Curious, is there something specific I should be looking for when I'm inspecting potential cars?
