Been doing my homework on what specific year and model I want.

I want something faster than most so Im mostly interested in the S class, with that I have a few questions... I am coming off a 300C, so I like the interior size to be bigger but I dont want to sacrifice performance. The 08 and before s4s turned me away because of interior size... The s8s are out of my price range so I was mostly interested in the 08 s6, bigger than the s4, decent price and decent interior size... I came to find out the 2010 s4 is almost the same size as the 08 s6 and a little bit faster... So my questions are.

Interior size how does the 08 s6 and the 2010 s4 compare..

How about the performance between the 08s6 and the 2010 s4
( i know about the 4.2 v8 and the blown v6, but looking for any specifics the general reader wouldnt come across)

Also.. Permance upgrades... Which model has more to offer for upgrades in your opinion?

There is quite a bit of variability in the models you are asking about. I think your best bet would be to go test drive the models you are interested in and see what works for you. If you are looking to "improve" performance you are going to need a model that has a forced induction engine. Then you can get it chipped for that extra oompf.

Problem is the cars im specifically looking for dont exist in my area... When I goto purchase one, It will be a long drive or a flight, or a buy over phone and ship, so Im trying to get a handle the best I can

 

If you want to mod then a n/a engine isn't really the way to go. To s/c a s6 is 10k+. To add a tune to a turbo or s/c car is 1k or less

 

I would not think that the size would be the same as the 6 series is larger then the 4 series.

The S6 has a V10 and I love the power it provides. The S4 is a V8 so I'm not sure where you are getting the v6 from.

 

Yeah I meant to say S6 had a V-10 my fault... but the 2010 S4 has a SCed v6...

Also, our Audi dealer had said that the newer S4's were based on the A6 body style and they were bigger... Don't know if that goes for the 2010 or the 2012...
